Traffic Management Scheme for Chamberlayne Road
The Issue:
Chamberlayne Road is a 0.9 mile narrow single carriageway cutting through the bosom of the small neighbourhood of Kensal Rise. Yet TfL operates over 11,500 diesel buses weekly on Chamberlayne and circa 90,000 vehicles use it monthly.
Chamberlayne Road’s heavy traffic creates significant chaos for local residents, causing constant disruption and very poor wellbeing conditions. Cyclists and pedestrians face perilous conditions daily.
