Speed Cameras
You’re joking, right?
Between January 2017 and June 2023, there were 85 collisions on the 0.9 mile Chamberlayne Road. Compare that to 47 on Salusbury Road and collision stats for other roads in the Queens Park Ward. Source: TfL

Heavy congestion means traffic is often at a standstill but speeding does happen, usually in the early mornings and evenings when it’s quieter. It happens at other times too when drivers overtake because they’re frustrated by congestion.
Yes, Chamberlayne Road is dangerous.
It’s unacceptable.

Traffic Restrictions for Chamberlayne Road
From Harvist Road all the way to All Souls roundabout, Chamberlayne Road is designated a minor unclassified road – intended only for local traffic! Source: Department for Transport
Though you wouldn’t believe it when 11,500 buses use it every week and about 90,000 vehicles every month.
It needs to stop.
The Kensal Corridor Scheme’s objectives aimed at primarily improving bus flow will NOT reduce speeding motorists or traffic volumes along Chamberlayne Road.
We implore Brent Council to install speed cameras and traffic restriction measures along Chamberlayne Road. They’re not listening but we’re not giving up!
